Remembrance Tribute to volunteers

REFLECTING ahead of Remembrance Sunday Medway Labour would like to pay tribute to the volunteers who make the services across Medway possible.

In particular, following police cuts a couple of years ago the parade and service in Chatham was put at risk but thanks to volunteers from across Medway we remain able to pay tribute to the men and women who risked and, even, gave their lives for their country during the First World War and during conflicts ever since.

In advance of Sunday’s service it is important to thank those volunteers who do such a magnificent job in making the event possible. It is right and proper that the people of Chatham are able to join with people from all over the country in paying their respects to the brave men and women who fought and continue to fight for our freedom.
